The first Danz Base National Competition was held at the 2014 Theme Park Expo Indonesia, hosted at the Jakarta National Expo (JIExpo) exhibition centre in Jakarta on October 2 and 3.

Developed by the Taiwanese company International Game Systems (IGS), Danz Base is an interactive arcade dance game that uses motion sensing technology to allow players to learn real dance moves and compete against each other without using a dance platform. To earn points, dancers must follow cues on the screen, hit specific notes, and perform various dance moves correctly. The game has four levels of difficulty and also allows players to compete remotely.

Theme Park Expo is Indonesia's only international trade show for the theme park, water park, and attractions industry. The 2014 show featured four main programs: Waterpark Expo, Kiddy Playground Expo, Rides Expo, and Arcade Game Expo.
