HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition to Be Held in Chicago in mid-April

The 2015 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois from April 12 to 16.

The 2015 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition, which runs from April 12 to 16, will bring together healthcare IT professionals, executives, suppliers and clinicians at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago. Presented by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the annual event will once again focus on harnessing IT to transform health and improve outcomes. HIMSS15 is expected to welcome more than 38,000 industry professionals from around the world.

HIMSS15 will host more than 250 hot topic sessions and welcome over 1,400 exhibitors on the expo floor, including more than 350 first-time exhibitors. The special programs at the conference will include the CIO Forum, Cisco's Community for Connected Health Summit, the Federal Health Community Forum, the Patient Engagement Forum, and the Microsoft Health Users Group. The conference will offer attendees exceptional networking and education opportunities with world-class speakers and presenters, while the expo will feature a varied range of innovative technologies and health IT products, and offer practical tools and resources for clinicians across different fields of healthcare.

The technologies on display will range from tools for leveraging big data and cybersecurity solutions to products designed to engage patients and optimise treatment and rehabilitation programs. Each of these locations will offer attendees informative sessions and an opportunity to explore the latest products and services available on the market.

The speakers at the event will include such prominent figures as Karen B. DeSalvo, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Bruce D. Broussard, President and CEO of Humana, and George W. Bush, former President of the United States.
